My Mother’s Day

mothers-dayMy Mom and I were rarely on the same page in almost everything. And even when she’s miles away from me, I would know she’s mad because she would refuse to talk to me on the phone. She would course everything through my dad.

Some 2 months ago, my mom and I had another big misunderstanding. No, in fact it was huge. I tried my hardest to try and talk to her but my efforts weren’t good enough.

Surprisingly, she called me up on Mother’s Day. It was 4am, PH time when my phone rang. My dad told me mom wants to talk to me.

Bo-ring!

My current theme is starting to bore me out now.  I should change it again soon.  Plus, I need to upgrade my WP version.  Sheesh, all I need is my internet connection.  I’ve already applied for one but it’ll still take days before it gets connected.  I feel so incompetent and useless without the internet. Bleh.

Mastering One’s Self

I don’t know where they got this but I saw this on the wall while I was filing for my lost card at the bank this afternoon. Very, very timely for me.

He who controls others may be powerful,
but he how has mastered himself is mightier still.

Nice, right?

So to all my co-workers who are leaving for the 2-day outing tomorrow, have a great time you guys!

I Should Learn To (Updated)

Take pictures of myself. I dunno. I just can’t seem to take nice photos of myself. I envy my friends who can take gazillions of shots of themselves and look good. They even post it on their friendster profiles or facebook sites.

But isn’t uploading too many photos of yourself a bit too narcissistic? Whaddayatinks?

I do remember one photo I took of myself(ves) that I love.  Its actually still in my friendster photo album. View it after the jump.

Chu, Part 2

elise-hoodieSo what’s mommy’s plan for Elise’s 2nd Birthday? Since we already had a big bash for her first, we’ve decided to have a low key celebration with just the three of us.

I was thinking, since Elise has a penchant for animals, a trip to the zoo will be a great experience for her. But which zoo? I’m not sure yet. I wanted to try sana Zoobic Safari, sabay Ocean Adventure. Or the one in Montalban,Rizal. Avilon, is it? Or the Oceanarium near Manila Bay. I still need to check out reviews and other options.

Then I wanted sana to stay overnight at a fancy hotel. We haven’t done that yet. I wanted to take them to the Galleria Suites. I love that hotel. I had my debut there and I stayed there numerous times in the past. The rooms are huge and the breakfast buffet scrumptous. And its connected to a mall so double the pleasure.

But if it’ll be too costly for us, we’ll probably just opt for anything cheaper since there are a lot of budget hotels in the philippines that we still have yet to try. As long as the three of us are together, wherever we will go will surely be a blast.

I can’t wait for our family outing. :)

Chu!!

That’s what my Elise answers when you ask her how old she is. She’ll be two on the 26th.

Most of her t’s gets transformed to ch’s. Hehe. Its cute. But I saw how letting mis-pronounciation in kids speech affect how they would talk as they grow older. Once they get used to the wrong way of talking, it’ll be hard to correct them in the future.

The “Bulol”-ness may be adorable now, but teaching proper pronounciation also help in advancing a child’s communication skill.

Eureka! A MomExchange article idea. Heehee.

Fresh! Fresh! Fresh!

Okay, so I’m done moping.  I’ve got so many things to be grateful for.  So many things to do.  I need to focus on the more important things.  Like, how in the heck will I able to buy that mouth-watering strawberries and cream ice cream?  Man, I’ve been craving for it since I saw that commercial TV.  The problem is that we don’t have a ref, yet.  Its not practical for us to buy half a gallon then try to finish it between ourselves, right?

Ayayayay!  I remember craving for the same thing when I was pregnant with Elise back then.

And the Ball Rolls On

They said that this year, the year of the Rat, is such a bad year for those born under the Snake year.  But I haven’t really felt that bad start until just this month.  Then the worse just happened, I lost my wallet, again!  And the problem is that I don’t remember where I left it.  I’m sure, though, that the last I saw it was at the office.  I probably left it there.  Now its gone.

Buti nalang walang pera, but the cards and the IDs and Elise’s photos!!!! Waaaah. Priceless!  Sad na ang lola. Bow.

Super Bad Mood

sad-smileyScrooge here, writing for Aiza. Just kidding.

I just feel so defeated that the hubby won’t let me go to the company’s outing. He’s got so many reasons why, but it all seems twisted to me. I wanted him to go with me but suddenly, it wasn’t an option for him at all.
