So 1 it is…

Long before I met the husband, I had a clear idea of what I wanted in life.  A house of my own, my own transportation, a great career, and two kids. It was that simple. I wanted a simple life.  Nothing fancy. Nothing extravagant.  And its still a work in progress at 31, but I’m almost there.

I envisioned myself in love with the same man until our faces wrinkle and all our teeth fall out, with two kids and a handful of grandchildren.

Then came the day when we discussed when we’re going to have the next kid.  I told the husband I wanted a boy na sana. We’ll name him Austin John, after his favorite wrestler. Then he reminded me of the conversation we had with the OB a few weeks after I gave birth.

    Once in a while, you’re faced with a situation which makes you rethink and rethink again about yourself or your life. Even the littlest of events. Like just this morning, I was typing up my personal profile on a new social media site I just signed up at. Filling up the “About Me” slot took a while.  As much as I want to go on and on about who I am and what I really do, I opted for noting down a simple string of words that describes me best.

    FRUSTRAPCISM

    [frus-trap'-cizm] hair-pulling, keyboard-banging frustration due to a slow-loading, constantly freezing PC.

    I’m experiencing FRUSTRAPCISM with my company-issued machine.

    Not us, but the hundreds of thousands of families caught unaware of the tropical storm that claimed houses, cars, belongings and even lives. It was only during the early evening of saturday when we realized the gravity of the events, even so on sunday.  Thank you to the contacts (and their contacts) that posted videos and photos of the aftermath.

    I’m happy my family and relatives were spared, suddenly grateful we reside in the far off mountains of QC that is Novaliches.
