My phone was stolen today. I feel bad awful.
Apparently, my jacket’s front pocket wasn’t safe enough from the fast hands of the pickpocket.
So to all my friends, I’ll be changing numbers soon. If you can, kindly send me your numbers through email or IM.
Thanks. Keep safe y’all and God bless.

I just found a treasure chest of tips and articles for new (and experienced) moms at the msn portal. Yipee, a new site to read!
I so hope it won’t take my precious work time as my blogging, playing Pangya and my occasional online procrastinating already does.

“Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?”
-God (Evan Almighty, 2007)
Nice, eh? So when was the last time God gave you an opportunity for what you prayed for?

Elise was hospitalized for the first time (aside from her long 30-day stint at the NICU after I gave birth to her). We brought her there last saturday (Aug 25) because she was flaming up and wouldn’t eat or drink anything since morning. Sometimes, just a sip of this or a bite of that but more often taking in nothing at all. It seemed like swallowing has become a chore for her and she couldn’t taste anything since her nose was congested. Come lunchtime, her movements were sluggish and she was rarely moving from the couch beside me and that sent off all alarms in my head.

Elise will be turning 15 months old in 2 days. That’s her in braids, courtesy of her artistic pretty hairstylist, Tita Kat. (sorry for the crappy photo) Man, I can’t believe I have a 1 year old now. Gee, I really feel ancient.
She does a lot of stuff now on her own and I’m mighty proud of her.
She’ll be having her checkup and booster shots soon and because her pre-natal tooth is already decaying, I might need to bring her to a pediatric dentist, too.
Here’s a list of things she can do now:

I usually have these weird pseudo-depression episodes when I’m about to have my period. Blame it on the hormones, I say.
I remember this one time, back in college, when I had blueberry cheesecake binges. I had to eat at least a slice a day because if I don’t, I would usually feel so sorry for myself that would I mope and cry. Then I saw that rubbing alcohol commercial where a kid told her grandma: “this time, I’ll take care of you”. Also that Karen-Lolo fastfood commercial had the same effect on me, I cried buckets, no kidding. OA, diba? But it does happen, and I’m not exaggerating.

Its unfortunate that the popular clog brand (and its hoardes of clones) happens to be escalator nightmares – their purported slip-free sole adheres to the slits. And these accidents happens mostly to kids who are not strong enough to remove their stuck clogs.
So to all the mothers parents out there, please be wary. Make sure your kids are able to get off the escalators easily, with or without rubber clogs.
