Capitalization

Cutie EliseI have a dilemma. A huge one at that. You see, I stumbled upon this forum about stage moms and how they went through great lengths to have their babies/children casted for ads. I was actually quite interested, excited even, that there’s a possibility that Elise may be casted too, since everybody thinks she’s cute and all. So off I go to try this new venture.

At first, I emailed one casting agency. Sent them Elise’s pictures and a few hours later I get a reply. They told me to print out the email and show it to the reception. They gave me a schedule to show up with the daughter. But when that day came, Elise caught colds and developed fever, so we had to reschedule until we all forgotten about it.

Then one of my online buddies emailed us about her parents’s casting agency looking for cute babies. I emailed her mom, again sent her links to my online album and she replied. Same thing as before, when the date for the VTR came, the daughter has fever na naman.

I don’t know if this is a sign from above telling me not to capitalize on my daughter’s cuteness. As I continue reading on the forums, they would complain on how it was hard to wait for your turn or how schedules are not met. So I got to thinking, do I want Elise to go through all of this? Pero I’m sure at her age, waiting is really not the issue, its the parents who are usually impatient. And when adults get impatient, its the kid that suffers. (hehe)

On the other hand, the extra money could mean security for her, for us. I’ll add it to her savings account (yes she already has one, built from monetary gifts, but its not a lot) and we can use it for her college tuition or even for health emergencies.

I dunno. I could just be like Sharon and let my little KC do commercials lang. (feeling!) I was thinking, sige let her get through the VTRs then if no casting calls were made then its really not meant to be, right?

What do you think? Should I try it or not?

Hi Aiza, nice site you got here. Ok lang if it’s really meant, it will happen. Baka talagang di pa time. Ako nga, stage mother in the making na….saw my kid in the SM Hypermarket ad, naku surprised talaga ako. Didn’t know they’re filming something when we had our grocery at MOA.

I’m also tempted to try this one out too (yes, because of those forums too). Kaya lang naisip ko baka hindi tanggapin ang anak ko kasi ang payat (thanks to daddy)! Bad mom ba? lol
