I got the title from another blogger friend who made a post about how he started out as a blogger.
Four years ago, when I first started journalizing, was also the same year when my parents left for the US to start a new life. I wanted a channel where I can update my parents about what’s happening and at the same time try out a digital version of my diary.
With digital, I don’t have to bring my diary with me and I can update anytime I have internet connection. (which was most of my waking time since I am a developer by profession) I get to post pictures and share experiences instantly with people at the other side of the globe. Coolness.

Basically, my target audience is really just family and friends. I was actually surprised, at first, when people I don’t know start reading and eventually form bonds and friendships with them online. Waaay cooler.
But that’s not always the case. I also get phone calls from family abroad telling me to delete delicate posts about myself and other family members that’s why I sometimes rather keep names anonymous. Besides this is for me, that’s the real purpose of this site. I’m sure i’ll remember who they were. I have an uncanny gift of remembering names.Someday, I’d like to look back on all of my memories and be able to do so where ever I go. I was actually browsing at my old site yesterday and found some of the old entries funny and some still moving. I hope they don’t close that site anytime soon.
So there, that’s my story. Its supposed to keep me focused on what I’m doing, and so far, I still am. Thank God.
How about you? What’s your story?
