I like taking the MRT to work. Aside from it being a cheaper mode of transpo, faster, and that it contributes less to pollution, I also get some kind of satisfaction whizzing by vehicles that get stuck in the traffic below. *smirks*
Other than that, it beats driving through the traffic yourself and you save on expensive gas, plus the parking fee here in makati is a real b**ch.
Anyhoo, my ride this morning was a bit exceptional that I thought of writing it down. I may have come across a lot of talkative operators, this one sounded like he woke up at the wrong side of the bed. It was a laugh trip, I tell you.
At first, his spiels were the same as with the other operators.
Then, when the passengers get rowdy, it looks like he, too, also loses his cool.
and lastly…
Mag taxi nalang kayo.”

Hahaha.
But you know, its true what the operator says. Sometimes, its really frustrating to find a lot of selfish and inconsiderate people in the MRT.
- They are those who would crowd near the door even if they’re still a couple of stops away.
- They are those who would barge right in as soon as the door opens while others were still trying to get out of the train.
- They are those who are tall enough to hold the high bars but would still opt to use the lower safety handles, much to the chagrin of short people (like me).
- There are those who won’t give up their seats for the elderly and the pregnant. Yes, and that includes inconsiderate young women, too!
Well, complain as I would, I’d still ride the train everyday.
Thanks to the government millions of taxpayers for providing us with safe, fast and cheap means of transpo everyday. This is where your taxes go.
