My mom had humble beginnings. My grandparents were young when they got married. (she’s 16 and he’s 18) My grandma would tell, no…. brag about having 6 kids when she was my age! Egad! And that’s during the time when the grandpa’s still in med school.
So my mom would fondly tell stories of how they grew up in a 6-kid household in the province.
One time she tells us, “Alamo, nung bata kami isa lang sapatos namin pang school at pang simba.” [direct translation: You know, we only had one shoe (pair) for school and for church.]
Eileen (my sister), then 2 years old, replied, “Paano yung isang paa mo, mommy?” [What about your other foot, mommy?]
Kids talaga.
One Response for "What About Your Other Foot?"
Hahahahaha!!! Oo nga naman, pano na yung isa pang paa?
