My little girl got sick last week. She was admitted at the hospital and diagnosed with pneumonia, again. The first time was just last August. This time, we stayed for 5 days, 2 days longer than the last.

Why pneumonia? Well, its due to the fact that she was a preemie, that her immune system is still developing and that her lungs are still weak. There’s also the ever-changing weather, pollution and second hand smoke that may have also contributed to it.

I also remembered, during that time, I washed her body with cold water when she burped and vomited a bit on herself. (bad mommy) I thought it was okay since it was just fast bath. And a really, really fast one, too. I would hate it, kasi, when she would smell like barf before she sleeps. Did I mention it was a fast wash-up? Unfortunately, it could have been another cause for her pneumonia too.

The good thing about staying with Elise 24/7 is that of course, we bonded together. I missed the times when she was still small and we would spend so much time together. Its more enjoyable now because she would remember a lot of the stuff that we do and say to each other.

Oh and another great thing about staying at the hospital? I got to watch a lot of TV, especially CSI, heehee. Next season’s first episode is showing tomorrow at AXN. Can’t wait.

Its her last day for taking medicines today. She still has a bit of the cough and colds but no more fever, yey! She lost a bit of weight (2.5 kgs) but back to her kulit, malikot (super duper likot) self. I’m still praying she gets her old appetite back. She just refuses to eat rice now.
