Oh-kay, so I stumbled upon the blog of Wordpress founding developer, Matt Mullenweg and he’s here in the Philippines to attend the Wordcamp. (unlike me, who, for the love of @$#%@, forgot to register)
Aside from his oh-so-beautiful theme (inggit ang lola mo), he had this really embarrassing photo of the latest immigration/customs form. Susmiyo, I wonder what kind of country he thinks of the Philippines now! What will our tourists say? See the photo after the jump.
Immigration forms sponsored by a booze company! Nahiya ako, pramis.
Will you be?

I’m not embarrassed. No big deal about it. It’s just an advertisement.
Perhaps we wouldn’t be embarrassed if it was a Chivas Regal or Johnnie Walker instead of Tanduay? But they’re just the same.
Aiza: Hey Arnold, thanks for dropping by. What’s embarrassing for me is that our Immigration department had to sell ad spaces on simple forms like these and make money out of it. If it were an ad for a tourist spot, it would have been a whole lot better.

.. came across Matt’s Tanduay photo. Not funny or embarrassing, surprised lang dahil sa atin lang ata yung mahabang form ng Arrival card.
I just got home and didn’t notice this. I was excited I think to land and grasp with relief when I finally got in the line at the newly opened Term 3. The new Immigration checkpoint looks beautiful.

Ay grabe… para sa akin nakakahiya nga yan. Sa buong mundo, tayo lang yata ang may patalastas sa mga forms. Hahaha!

Neither.
We’ve always been known to be ingenious in most every aspect of life.
Not at all embarrassing too. When I watch the local news with all the politicians, law people and the likes na NAGKAKALAT, that’s when I am horribly embarrassed. With TFC and other technological means of broadcasting sending these news out to the world..
Hahaay!
But all the issues doesn’t keep me from being one proud Pinay.
Aiza: Hi there, thanks for dropping by. I’m proud to be Pinay, too! Apir!
