Here’s a tag that I thought of just this morning. I just don’t know if it has been done before. I’m tagging all blogger parents, parents to be, single people planning to have kids who would come across this post. You know the drill, ladies and gents, so here goes….
—START TAG—
OUR KID’S NAMES: List all of your kids’ names, or even just one. Its up to you. Write down the story or the reason why you chose it. If you’re expecting or planning to have more kids and already have a name for them….list them down too.
Child’s Name: Elise Gabrielle (2 years and 4 months)
Why the name? The three of us siblings and most of my maternal cousins have names starting in “E” so I wanted my kid’s name starting in “E” too. I also wanted to name one of my kids after my grandfather, who was a great man. His name was Eliseo. So I just dropped the “o” and it was instantly feminized. Although her name is similar to mine, which is Eliza Marie, I really didn’t name her after myself.
The second name was a challenge. Only a few names would sound nice with Elise. My first choice was Bianca. But due to the noteriety of an actress with the same name, from a then popular reality show, my inlaws wouldn’t hear of it.
So my husband’s uncle, who is a pastor, suggested that we find the second name from the Bible. Ang hirap, diba? Betsheba kaya? Joke lang po.
And opened the Bible, we did. Then we came across the name Gabriel, which sounded so angelic. Again feminized, tadaaaaaaaa…. Gabrielle.
If i’m going to have another kid, hopefully this time a boy, I want Erin (after my cousin who passed away) John (my husband’s second name). But Paulo wanted Austin John, after his favorite celebrity wrestler. Hay, mga lalaki talaga. *smacks forehead*
I’m tagging: Aggie, Iris, Janet, Jayvee, Jen, JenCC, Jennie, Jenny, Joyce, Julie, Kat, Kathycot, Kelly, KV, Lady Cess, Maan, Marissa, Meng, Mye, Jenny, Noemi, Rachel, Raqgold, Raquel, Ris, SexyMom, Summer, Wenchie
Thanks to Aiza for tagging me! (ahaha, don’t forget to backlink!)
—END TAG—
See? Wasn’t reminiscing fun?
