This is Serious

One lazy saturday, the daughter was busy watching something on the computer.  It really kept her still and quiet for a long time.  Then I realized that its actually a good baby sitter for her for a couple of minutes.  Guess what she’s watching then see if you guessed correctly after the jump. It was supposed to be for her dad. I got it from an IT workshop I attended last week. But after this photo, she refuses to let her dad wear it.

    Ahaha.

Sorry ka dad. It fits you perfectly pa naman.

  • Remembering My Hero

I just arrived from a book fair sponsored by my company’s foundation (located at one of the lower floors of the building).  While browsing through some of the books, I came across a very familiar name which brought back a bad memory.

Begin flashback. I was such a bookworm back in high school. Aside from the romance and mystery pocketbooks on my read list, I also pore over the novels that were required for us to read in school.  (I’m such a geek, LOL).

  • Poverty and the Global Financial Crisis

I just started with my new work last Monday and admittedly it was a big huge culture shock for me.  The company where I’m at now is uber conservative and formal as compared to the wild and crazy atmosphere where I came from.

But what struck me most is the almost personal way that the big bosses relate to all their employees, even with the rank and file.  Like how timely that one of the bosses sent an email to everybody about the present global financial crisis and how we can deal about it as an individual.

I’m not going to post everything here since I really don’t have the guts to email him and ask if I can repost his email for all the world wide web to see.  So here’s a gist of what he sent. (more…)
