As of yesterday, I stepped down as the author of Gamerlite, the casual gaming blog under the b5 media network. Between job changes, pending work with my old employer, adjustments in my schedule (I have to be at work soooo freakin’ early!) and the growing demands of my family, I can’t seem to find time to sit and write anymore. And somehow, the added pressure isn’t commiserate with the compensation we’re getting.I kinda pity those who are in the shores of N.A. I mean $25 is okay for us Pinoys, but i’m sure its considered measly change where they are. I wonder how they’re going to attract writers to write for them with that kind of pay.
As much as writing about games is fun and informative, I don’t think I’ll be able to exert as much, now that I have so much on my plate. Besides, I’m already ignoring this blog, which serves as update for my parents and my journal of Elise’s milestones.
I will definitely miss writing about games. But I have to focus my effort and attention to what really matters most to me, my family. Maybe, just maybe, when I get my groove back, I’ll be able to contribute and write in other sites as I have done before.
