I know I might not rave about the husband as often as I did the little girl. Some may even ask if there is even any husband at all. Well, my dear readers, yes there is.
Our marriage has been one tough rollercoaster ride and my close friends know all about that. But that is no excuse not to be grateful for the little things. Here are some stuff worth bragging about my husband:
- He’s waaay better at grocery shopping and marketing (pamamalengke). I may be the woman in the house but when it comes to planning on food and stuff at home, he has an edge over me. Waay more efficient.
- Going home to his cooking. He was on sick leave yesterday but it didn’t stop him from cooking. Sarap umuwi to great food.
- He has an amazing skill of making up bedtime stories and little games for the little girl. And believe me, he can keep her entertained for hours, which sometimes most of the time, I cannot.
- His blunt honesty may be a bit overbearing at times but I’m happy he tells me what he thinks rather than keeping it to himself in fear of us fighting. I appreciate that.
- His sense of family is admirable. He loves his family, especially his mom. I’m grateful that I have a mother-in-law I get along with. Sometimes, we even gang up on my husband over a lot of issues. And you can see how his younger cousins and nieces and nephews would idolize and look up to him.
- Last but not least, his sense of humor. Never a boring time whenever he’s around.
Now, I have a nice list to look at whenever I feel senti or whenever we fight. The list may be short, for now, but forgive me if I can’t think of the other things. (senior moment) I would gladly look at this post and update it once in a while to remind me why I fell in love with him and why he makes me happy.
