I used to write about how much my dad and I chat over at YM. We chat almost everyday. I love the way he would still remind me to pray and and to take care of myself and Elise always. And he never fails to tell me that he loves me.
Yes, he’s that kind of that dad. Just like Randy Pausch, the author of The Last Lecture, I felt like I won the parent lottery.
Anyway, I just like to share with you what my dad told me this evening. I know it may be long, but I hope you guys will take time to read it.
[22:25] Daddy: kumusta work mo sa *******
[22:25] elizamft: hay naku feeling ko overqualified ako ahaha (okay feeling mayabang ako dito, ahaha)

[22:25] elizamft: madadali yung work ko, for now

[22:26] Daddy: so improve on the system that is working now to show your immediate boss that you can do better

[22:27] elizamft: saka i have plenty of time to study best practices on software development 
[22:27] Daddy: then as you get more acquainted with the system, you can make suggestion like a system analyst diba
[22:28] Daddy: to improve or make the IT department more cost efficient
[22:28] elizamft: yep that’s my plan dad
[22:28] elizamft: sana po mapromote din later on
[22:29] elizamft: i want to stay in this company
[22:29] elizamft: it takes care of its employees kasi
[22:30] Daddy: of course you will be promoted because of your qualifications anak ko, MBA ka ang you can do more not only as a programmer
[22:31] elizamft: opo
[22:32] Daddy: keep it up anak ko, i know you are well qualified and equipped to make a better life for you and elise
[22:33] elizamft: yes dad
[22:33] elizamft: thank you for all your support and prayers
[22:34] Daddy: that is what parents are for, as you realize by now
[22:34] Daddy: GOD made parents to give us life and prepare us for a better life diba

[22:36] elizamft: sana kaya ko rin ibigay kay elise yung binigay ninyo sa akin dati

[22:36] Daddy: you can do better anak ko, para every generation there is progress sa family natin
[22:36] Daddy: hindi stagnant or retrogress

[22:37] Daddy: not pressure anak ko, challenge to excel
[22:38] Daddy: like when you do games sa computer, you consider it challenge not pressure that is why you keep going back to play the game anak diba

[22:38] Daddy: you consider it challenge not pressure, kung pressure you would not want to do it
[22:39] Daddy: challenges makes you thrive anak
[22:39] elizamft: hehe
[22:40] elizamft: kung walang challenge, baduy buhay
