I don’t know if this post is timely since fuel priced did go down almost 10 pesos for the past month. I think its still nice to continue saving up and practice these tips not just to save on fuel, but to cut down on harmful auto emissions.
- Buy gas during the coolest time of the day, that will be during early mornings or during late evening. Gasoline is denser when its cold.
- As much as you want to save by opting not to use the aircon, opened windows during high speed causes drag, reducing mileage by 10%
- Do regular tuneups to ensure best fuel economy.
- Unload unused stuff from your car like golf clubs, bowling balls and other equipment, the added load adds up to fuel consumption.
- Check tire pressure often, lower tire pressure than the required also adds up to fuel consumption.
Hope this helps.

that’s a great idea. Even my husband said the more people that ride the car the less mileage our car can go. Although, I did not know about buying in the coolest part of the day. Thanks for the info.
