…Or Ms. Bulutong is Elise’s latest pet name. Today marks her 7th day with chicken pox. Yes she had been given her vaccine but still she contracted it from her cousins.  All three of them (cousins) had it before the little girl’s turn.  Their Tito Drew, my husband’s cousin, is also down with the pox.

I’m happy that Elise don’t look sick.  She doesn’t even feel sick at all.  No changes in appetite, no fever, no nothing.  She only have 5 blisters on her face, 3 of which are big ones.  A couple on her chest, a lot on her back and most of the poxes are found on her privates.  Eeew. Wawa peng peng hehe.

not much pock-marks

Unlike her previous bout with URTI and high fever (40’s for 2 days) which made her stay in hospital (Capitol Medical Center) for 5 days.

At least I didn’t have to take a long leave from work and she’s still the cheerful, makulit and active little girl she always is.  I just wish she doesn’t make “hawa” to some of the kids where we live.

Here are some sites I referred to about children’s chicken pox. Hope you find them helpful too!
