A lot of older married friends/relatives would tell me that the first few years of marriage would be the adjustment phase for any couple. Bickering, fighting and tampuhan is very much normal. But really, there are times when your SO doesn’t seem that much special or significant, anymore. Grr.

Its probably the extremest culture shock I’ve ever experienced in my life. I’m actually still waiting for that honeymoon stage most newlyweds gush about. And sometimes, through the difficulties, I often question myself why I got married in the first place. I said I was ready, I said love can conquer all, I said I’m already of age so I said bring it on!

Unknown to most of the people I know, its been a month and almost 2 weeks since Pau and I decided to move out of grandma’s house. What an emotional roller coaster ride, I tell you. I’ve got so many complaints but at the same time its much better than living with relatives.[see errata below] It may be true that I enjoy the comfort of having household help, but doing things yourself gives me some kind of natural high.
