Hillsong United in Manila

hillsong unitedOMG! I just passed by Cubao this morning, on the train. Lo and behold, a big signboard of my favorite band, coming to the Philippines, on my daughter’s birthday, to play one night only.

I’m like, WTF!! (ahaha very unChristian) Why did I find out just today when its a mere 6 days away??

  • Glory Days

    AM BandWhen I was single, my favorite tambayan would be, believe it or not, our local church, the Puno UMC. For a few years, I was part of the church rock band. That’s actually how the hubby and I hooked up.

    Those were the days, my glory days. I’m now missing our camaraderie, how we’d jive as friends, grow in faith and play lots of music together. We would jam for hours and study new music. Indeed, I was very blessed to be a part of a very talented group which was highly recognized and admired in our community.

  • Josh, I’m your new fan!

    Cool guitar manIt’s seldom that I write about people I really admire. Its sad because there’s just so much talent out there that doesn’t get mentioned often. Well, except for this kid. I’ve discovered him from watching all those HappySlip videos, where his music is featured. And judging from his MySpace site, he’s getting a lot of bells and whistles from his side of the globe.

  • Struck a Chord

    I’ve decided to listen to good and soothing music lately to calm my nerves and for the baby to listen too. I’m currently into pop jazz and God knows what i’ll be listening to next. Here’s a song that have struck a chord. Seems like pregnancy’s making me too sentimental, teehee. :D
