The company I currently work for is really serious about their Christmas parties. And I mean that in plural – PARTIES! The first party I attended was for the division. Imagine that there are 3 divisions so that’s 3 parties. Then the luncheon with the partners which was this year’s Chrismas party celebration since they wanted to forgo the lavish corporate party due to the economic crisis. Then there’s the departmental parties, which we, in IT, didn’t celebrate. I don’t know why. Then today, is the area/building party for the corporate office. Read the rest of this entry »

Now that our company Christmas party’s over, I can breathe a sigh of relief and be ready to tackle on the next Christmas agenda.
The Christmas party was fun yesterday. Considering it was just a luncheon with the partners and not their usual lavish party. Its actually the first Christmas party I’ve attended where they gave so much moola around.
But the funnest was that, at least, our newbie (aka. baptism by fire) presentation was okay. I mean, we really did make them laugh a lot, which was a good sign, right? Dinaan nalang talaga namin sa kakulitan. I wonder what everybody here thinks of us now. LOLOLOLOL! Read the rest of this entry »

…is that Elise will grow up as headstrong and as stubborn like me. I would imagine how I was with my mom AND THEN imagine it was Elise doing it to me. OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS!!! Takot na ako sa karma ko. LOLOLOL! I wasn’t exactly the model daughter, you know.
So now, before we go to bed, we would usually have these little talks. I would say, “Elise, come here, usap tayo”.

My weekends are nothing but hectic nowadays. While others see it as a chance to rest and recuperate, mine’s crazy busy. I just hope it’s temporary since most of my extra-curricular activities are church and work related, and its both because of the holidays.
The question is, why do I have these insane headaches when I sleep less than 8 hours a day? And when I miss siestas during the weekend, I feel so lethargic. Doesn’t that make you feel old? As much I as I want to be the dynamic, ever hyper individual, my body can’t take it anymore.

…rattled out bonkers because of so much stuff on your plate. It makes you realize how nice it is that you’re needed and wanted and useful. And at the end of the day, when you’ve accomplished everything, makes you feel grateful that you’re alive and kicking. Read the rest of this entry »
