4 Forks and Leftovers (Confessions of a Foodie)

lefoversI’ve always wanted to be a food critic. For one, my appetite is insatiable (ahahaha) and two, I’m adventurous with food (among other things). I’m not scared to try out new food or to shell out if in case it were a bit expensive. As my dad would always say, scrimp on anything else except on food.

The only thing that would make me fail as one is that I always, ALWAYS forget to take photos of the food before it’s all consumed. When the food comes in, it takes extra willpower for me not to dig in immediately. Oh well… (me fails the marshmallow test)

  • How Pinoy are You?

Proud PinayI got tagged! By a new cyber-friend, MarcRoger (who also plays music for the Lord).

This one’s different from all the tags that I’ve come across because its a gauge of how much a Filipino you are. Well at least based on the typical norms and practices that has been passed on from generations. Here goes:

This does not prompt you to repost this quiz, however it would be better if you did. You have to add at least three items to the quiz, and you should tag a dozen (?) people after your post. There are a lot of unique Filipino traits and there’s no reason why you can?t think of three to add. Let?s see how long the list can get.

  • Work Hard, Party Harder?

It was just lately that I’m starting to question this phrase. This is what I’ve been doing for the past couple of months, since that bad thing happened to me. I would try my hardest to keep myself pre-occupied and bury my head under tons of work to keep myself from self-pitying and moping.

My weekdays would comprise of work during the day and a bit(?) of sideline work in the evenings (through the early mornings) and sometimes, the occasional dinners, badminton or night-outs with officemates and/or friends. But the weekends, I dedicate solely to my Elise.

Have a great day, y’all and God bless.

You might have noticed that I haven’t been posting as much as I have before. It seems that all that WP tinkering is finally taking its toll. So many errors now, especially in IE. I’m currently in the process of migrating to another, cleaner, installation of WP. Hopefully I’ll be done within the week. Please bear with me.

  • Self Realization

I just realized that…I’d like to shop for groceries when I’m sad or depressed. Hahaha! :D This just struck me last weekend and it was 10 in the evening. Anovah! Another one of my quirks discovered. Parang there’s some kind of elation that I get from buying in quantity and getting excited as to how I’m going to use those purchases.

Btw, I haven’t gone to the supermarket, yet. I hope umabot ako today.

  • Farewell, Heath

Heath LedgerAw. If this isn’t shocking for a morning news, I don’t know what is. Seriously, it just disturbs me how he was younger than I am and left his 2-year old daughter with just memories of who he was. I feel sorry for the kid who will never experience his biological dad’s love. Aw.

Farewell, Heath. I had dreams about you after I saw 10 Things and I know you’d rock as Joker.
